1) Tibolone is a synthetic hormone-type drug which is used mainly for hormone replacement therapy in post-menopausal women. It is a synthetic steroid that has the same activity as the female sex hormones estrogen and progesterone and the androgen testosterone. Tibolone helps restore hormonal balance in the body.
2) Tibolone Livial/Liviella is used mainly for treatment of endometriosis, as well as hormone replacement therapy in post-menopausal women. Tibolone is a synthetic steroid hormone drug, which is fairly non-selective in its binding profile, acting as an agonist mainly at estrogen receptors, with a preference for ER alpha.
